Being Versatile

What is the toughest life decision you’ve had to make?
Letting go of the one that I really love.

Your biggest fear?
Losing a family member and having to deal with the death of a loved one.

How do you keep cool in the face of criticism?
When there’s no truth to it, I just don’t mind it. I just let whatever comes my way pass- unless it hits “below the belt” (like when people talk about my private life or against my family). That’s when I take action. Otherwise, I don’t mind it. Eventually, people will stop talking. Don’t ever let criticism take control of how you act. Who you really are is what matters. Why will you adjust to others just because you want to protect your name? I’ve always believed in living your life no matter what people may say.

What’s it being like in a relationship?
Right now, I’m at this moving on stage with Drew [Sandoval].
But… I know that God has something to do for both of us.

How can you tell if he’s “The one”?
You can tell while the guy’s courting you. Getting into courtship means dating with a purpose. But it’s also all about focusing on the moment. If you look forward to get married right away, chance are, it won’t come out right.

What’s the sweetest thing you’ve done for a guy?
I made a scrapbook (I don’t want to say for whom it was)! I stayed up till 9am working on it.

What’s the best way to get past a breakup?
Deal with it! You don’t go out and try to forget it by drinking or partying the night away. You really have to deal with it day by day. It helps to be surrounded by friends. It’s really hard when you’re alone.

What’s the one thing you absolutely have to wear everyday?
Ring from my mom, She brought kasi this ring from Hawaii
pa. And I love my mom so much!

How do you stay fit and look great?
I do the South Beach diet whenever I want to loose weight fast. I just do Phase One spa so that I don’t end up looking too skinny. Honestly, I don’t know how to do diet properly. I love eating! I’m not a very healthy eater, either.

You’re very close to your dad. What’s the best advice he’s given you?
My dad is a book of wisdom. He once told me that a mere smile could make someone’s day. That’s why I always make it a point to smile when I’m out. When people come up to me and say “Hi,” I stop to look at them and smile. Another thing, my dad always tell me that, no matter what happens in my life, if I have both feet on the ground and I k now that I’m alright with what’s in my heart, I’ll be okay.

What’s the easiest way to stand out?
Just be yourself. Everyone has their own personality. You’re unique and that’s what will make you shine.

Your personal take on fashion?
I’m a moody dresser. Sometimes, I’ll just be in shorts or pambahay when I go out. Or I can get all girly and dolled-up. It really depends. Just dress-up on your mood and wear what you’re comfortable in.

Your way to de-stress?
I just stay at home and listen to mellow music. Other times, I like to go to the spa. I love sauna!

How can you tell who your real friends are?
By the test of time. Even if you haven’t seen each other for a long time, there’s never an awkward moment the next time you see each other again.

One thing you thought you couldn’t do, but did?
I’ve always been the one who doesn’t think that I can’t do something. I always like to try new things.

Is there anything you regret?
I believe that when you live a life, you live one with no regrets.
And from my mistakes, I don’t regret! because I'm learning from it..

What was the bravest thing you did on your own?
The bravest thing that I did was, I drove the car of my dad without having any license and any companion, because I really, really need to….

One thing that tires you easily?
I hate waiting! It’s so tiring sitting or standing and doing nothing!

How do you make up for a big mistake? If I hurt anyone, the first thing that I do is ask forgiveness. Not just to say “sorry,” but to act upon it to mean I am really sorry.

What’s the best advice you’ve given to a friend?
“Just be quiet and don’t say anything,” when you hold your tongue, you save yourself from saying so many things you might regret later on-the things that may not really mean, but could still end up hurting someone. It’s best to let the storm pass first, and then decide on what you really want to say.
